Worldbuilding

Worldbuilding in the Age of AI

Build a world with internal logic, not just a collection of beautiful frames.

Write the rules first

What can happen in this world? What cannot? Establish a few constraints around materials, architecture, climate, and behavior. Constraints provide a stable foundation for visual exploration.

A world becomes believable when its details agree.

Follow the small details

A doorway, a garment, or a source of light can tell the audience as much as a vast landscape. Repeat meaningful details across environments to create continuity without making every frame identical.

Keep a world bible

Collect approved references, palette choices, proportions, and narrative notes in one place. Record why each choice belongs. This makes new scenes easier to assess and gives collaborators a common language.
